EARLY ELEMENTARY ARTS EDUCATION

“As an educator, I am student centered, meaning that I read a student’s needs and listen to their voice as a learner, which I use to guide instruction for diverse ages and levels. For students who are just starting out in the arts, this instructional practice helps build a safe environment for them to participate in the arts and find success!”
- Carly Tyran
WHAT TO EXPECT AT PAW CUBS

This two-day workshop is an introduction to the arts. In PAW Cubs, students will experience developmentally-appropriate lessons and activities that focus on vocal exploration, music-making, movement and dance, and visual art. A strong emphasis is placed on exploration, self-awareness, self-esteem, appreciation of the arts, teamwork, and stage presence. Students will end the workshop with a performance showcasing the skills they learned in addition to bringing home their finished art project. This workshop will prepare young artists for what is to come in our PAW Jr. Workshop!
